GP Strategies Corporation, a US-based $490-million performance-improvement solutions provider, has acquired Chennai-based Emantras for an undisclosed amount.
Post the acquisition, which took effect on April 1, Emantras’ 130 employees have joined GP Strategies to take the total employee base of the American company in India to 270, said Sanjay Mandal, Country Head and Director - APAC, GP Strategies.
The acquisition will strengthen GP Strategies’ presence in India, and also tap Emantras’ expertise in areas such as content development, e-learning and technology, Mandal told newspersons.
GP Strategies provide solutions in sales and technical training, e-learning, management consulting and engineering services. Globally, GP Strategies has around 3,500 employees, he said.
