Under this agreement, the Hyderabad-based CSIR-IICT has developed a bench scale process for manufacturing hydrazine hydrate.
It has also successfully demonstrated it on a pilot scale at GACL’s Dahej complex.
According to a press release here, IICT said GACL will shortly establish a commercial plant with an initial capacity of 8,000 tonnes a year of 80 per cent Hydrazine hydrate, based on its technology and detailed designs.
The two have also initiated the process for filing a joint patent.
