Sonalika International Tractors plans to invest Rs 500 crore to enhance the capacity of its tractors unit at its Hoshiarpur plant. An additional Rs 200 crore will be invested in its equipment division to expand its production.
A. S. Mittal, Vice-Chairman, Sonalika Group said, “By December next year we will double capacity at Hoshiarpur (Punjab) from the present 75,000 to 1.5 lakh units (per annum).”
Following the expansion Sonalika will become India’s largest integrated tractor plant under one roof and will give direct employment to over 5,000 workers and engineers.
