Sugar prices for S-grade were up ₹9 a quintal at the higher side and ruled steady at the lower side. Naka and mill tender rates were flat. Mills sold the commodity at ₹10 lower on back of lower demand and volumes. Supply remained ample and local demand turn ease keeping morale slightly weak said sources. Freight rates were steady. Arrivals at Vashi were 62-63 truck loads and local dispatches were 63-64 truck loads. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,670-3,780 (3,670-3,771) and M-grade ₹3,736-3,882 (3,736-3,882). Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,650-3,700 (3,650-3,700) and M-grade ₹3,730-3,800 (3,730-3,800).
