Jeera futures increased on the back of speculative buying after reports of crop damage in producing States. On the other side, spot price declined on improved supply and slow demand. On the NCDEX, jeera March contract gained ₹195 to ₹14,730 a quintal with an open interest of 10,893 lots. About 22,000-23,000 bags arrived in Unjha mandi of Gujarat and prices declined by ₹25 to ₹2,350-3,000 for a maund of 20 kg. In Rajkot APMC, prices lost ₹20-22 to ₹2,200-3,050.
