Metal shares extended their recent rally into the session on Friday. At 11.34 am Vedanta led the pack on the BSE, trading at Rs 101.60. This represented a gain of 9.42 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 92.85.
Hindalco Industries spurted 3.53 per cent to quote at Rs 85 against Rs 82.10 at close yesterday.
Tata Steel advanced 3.06 per cent at Rs 247.85 against Rs 240.50 at close on Thursday.
ICICI Bank traded up 2.87 per cent to quote at Rs 286.45 against Rs 278.45 at close yesterday.
ONGC flared up 1.79 per cent at Rs 262.25 against Rs 257.65 at close previously.
