Pharma stocks held on to their firm undertone on the BSE through the trading day on Monday. At 3.05 p.m. Dr Reddys Labs was the top gainer on the bourse, trading at Rs 2,666.30 as against its earlier close of Rs 2,607. This represented a gain of 2.27 per cent.
GAIL (India) was quoting at Rs 366.20 as against Rs 358.95 at close on Friday. This was a gain of 2.02 per cent.
Sun Pharma Industries edged up further to hold gains of 1.59 per cent in late trade to quote at Rs 597.50. It had closed the previous week at Rs 588.15.
Another pharma stock Cipla made rapid gains to trade at Rs 411.95, up 0.32 per cent on its previous close of Rs 410.65.
Hero MotoCorp, which unveiled a number of new bikes and scooters last week, retreated from its morning levels to trade at Rs 1,976. This represented a gain of 0.28 per cent on Friday’s close of Rs 1,970.45.
