Maruti Suzuki maintained its firm undertone on the NSE to hold gains of just under 7 per cent near close on Wednesday. The company announced on Tuesday it had posted a net profit of 36 per cent in the third quarter ended December.
At 3.10 p.m. the Maruti stock held gains of 6.70 per cent to trade at ₹1,671 as against ₹1,566 at close on Tuesday.
BPCL spurted up by 3.89 per cent to trade at ₹355.50. It had closed Tuesday’s session at ₹342.20.
BHEL made further ground to quote at ₹170.60, up 3.80 per cent on yesterday’s close of ₹164.35.
Ranbaxy Labs surged 3.21 per cent to quote at ₹328.20 as against its previous close of ₹318.
Hero Moto sped up 2.74 per cent to quote at ₹2,068.25, as against its overnight close of ₹2,013.15.
