In a post-market-hours disclosure, Siemens informed the bourses that it has bagged an order for ₹570 crore from Power Grid Corp (PGCIL) to supply Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) solutions. The order includes designing, engineering and commissioning of STATCOMs at Ranchi, Rourkela, Kishenganj and Jeypore (in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha). The STATCOMs are being manufactured at Siemens’ Goa plant.
