Shares of Wipro fell as much as 5 per cent to its lowest since July 21 as the company turned ex-dividend on Thursday.
The stock posted its biggest intraday percentage drop since November 9, 2016 and was the biggest percentage loser on broader NSE index.
The stock had gained 24.7 per cent this year as of Wednesday's close, compared with Nifty IT index's 1 per cent rise during the same period.
