The curtains go up on the United Nations General Assembly's high-level meetings this week at the UN headquarters in New York. On Monday, the UN General Assembly will host a summit on the refugee and migrants issue and aim to come up with a roadmap for a better international response.

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance’s IPO, worth up to Rs. 6,057 crore and the biggest in the country in about six years, will hit the capital market today. Ahead of the IPO, ICICI Prudential has allocated over 4.89 crore shares at Rs. 334, aggregating Rs. 1,635.33 crore, to a clutch of anchor investors from India and abroad.

The Cauvery Supervisory Committee will meet today to decide on the quantum of water to be released to Tamil Nadu and other States following the Supreme Court order. On September 12, the Supreme Court had asked Karnataka to release 12,000 cusecs of water a day, down from 15,000 cusecs, to Tamil Nadu till September 20.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy J7 Prime in India today. The mid-range phone, first launched in Vietnam in August, comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display and a fingerprint sensor. Last year, Samsung launched two smartphones in the J series - Galaxy J5 and the Galaxy J7.

Chinese electronics firm LeEco is hosting its one-day mega sale in India today. The company expects to sell smartphones and televisions worth about Rs.100 crore during its one-day shopping festival.
