Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul said the north-eastern State’s hydro power capacity, forest and mineral resources offer unmatched business opportunities.

At a CII-organised event here recently, he said, “I believe that today, there are opportunities for mutual growth, which must be capitalised.”

Pul promised industry would find the State’s policies related to land and tax incentives attractive.

The State government facilitates acquisition of land, provides power subsidy and other fiscal incentives for the industries.

“We are improving road connectivity by creating 11 entry points. “This will facilitate the unhindered transit of machinery into our State for any industry that may be set up,” he said.

He said the State was endowed with coal, limestone, dolomite, marble and zinc. “The government will ensure that it is acquired with the least obstacle to investors,” he explained.

He said State is a mega bio-diversity hot spot of the world and considered a pristine tourism destination.

He suggested bio-diversity could be utilised for research, development and value addition of medicinal plants, herbs and even food additives.
