The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a global network of entrepreneurs of Indian origin, is opening the TiE Amaravati Chapter to groom entrepreneurship in the new state.
The chapter, with an initial membership of 35-40 entrepreneurs, will be officially launched in about 40 days.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Suresh Chitturi, TiE Board member and Managing Director of Srinivasa Hatcheries group, said the chapter will have a regional presence in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati.
Besides IT, It will focus on agriculture, manufacturing and food processing.
Satish Andra, Managing Director of Endira Partners, said an angel network set up exclusively for fostering startups will come up in two months. Tentatively named Andhra Angels, the network would have 100 members, each having investment appetite of Rs 1 crore in a span of two years.
