The Genome Valley Excellence Award of BioAsia 2018, the flagship biotech event of the Government of Telangana, will be presented to Michael N. Hall, an expert from Biozentrum University of Basel, Switzerland.
He has been chosen for the award for his pioneering work in discovering the nutrient-activated Target of Rapamycin (TOR) proteins and their central role in the metabolic control of cell growth.
The award will be presented to Hall during the inauguration ceremony of BioAsia scheduled to be held on February 22, according to a release.
