The partly cloudy evening skies are forecast to turn mostly clear for the night game between hosts Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders at Jaipur tonight.

A potential weather-generating system that is bound to reach Northwest India from across the international border is at least another day away from impacting the region.

Still, the westerly-to-southwesterly winds, some bands of which dip down to kiss the surface of Northeast Arabian Sea, might carry some moisture and set up a non-threatening cloud cover.

There would accordingly be a slight build-up in humidity, which, at around 20 per cent at the start of play at 8 p.m., should not bother the players too much.

Temperature levels are expected to hover in the region of 31 deg Celsius to start with, and scale down as the match wears on.

The wind factor (5 km/hr) might not be enough to swing the fortunes one or the other way either.

Forecasts suggest that the skies might just clear up entirely by the time play closes later into the night.
