For the first time, a commercial bank and a leading cricket franchise have come together to launch a co-branded cricket credit card.

RBL Bank (The Ratnakar Bank Ltd) and Delhi Daredevils, a franchise of Indian Premier League (IPL), have brought to the market India's first credit card around cricket.

This credit card -- which is on a Mastercard platform -- was launched on Thursday by leading players of Delhi Daredevils in the presence of senior management of RBL Bank and Delhi Daredevils.

Speaking on the occasion, Vishwavir Ahuja, Managing Director & CEO, RBL Bank said the launch of this cricket credit card presents a fantastic platform for the growing fans of the game and the Delhi Daredevils to engage with their team.  

The RBL Bank Delhi Daredevils Cricket card is seen as a passport to enjoy cricket up-close.

The card brings to its cardholders exclusive privileges like meeting and greeting the Delhi Daredevils team, personal and original memorabilia, coaching camps, free match tickets , talk shows and much more, said Harjeet Toor, Business Head, Retail and Small Business Lending, RBL Bank.  

"You will score runs and wickets every time you will use your cricket card. These runs and wickets can be redeemed for exciting memorabilia, coaching sessions, merchandise, sporting equipments".

Cardholders will be invited for "members only" events like talk sessions with coaches, feel the pitch, party with the team, play cricket quiz along with other surprises.
