There comes a time in every biker’s life when he or she decides to put their mundane existence on hold for a while and heads off to explore uncharted territories on two wheels.

These glorious motorcycling expeditions are easier dreamed about then accomplished though.

In the real world, a successful biking trip requires logistical chops, language skills, in-depth technical knowledge of motorcycle and a whole lot of planning.

Hassle-free experience

If that doesn’t sound like your idea of fun, there is an alternative. Motozeil, a motorcycle touring company based out of Gurgaon, has tied up with Edelweiss Bike Travel to create a company that will take care of all the boring details and leave you with the simple task of parking your backside on a bike seat and turning the throttle.

The joint venture will offer guided tours as well as the kind where you can pretend to wing it even though everything is being meticulously planned behind the scenes (self-guided is the technical term).

Options galore

Riders can choose from a large fleet of big bikes for these trips, which will cover 10 different countries in and around the Indian sub-continent, in addition to a select few trips that happen on other continents.

The bikes on offer for the Indian tours include the Harley Davidson 883, the Ducati Scrambler, the Triumph Bonneville T100 and of course, a few bikes from the stables of Royal Enfield.

The international fleet features a larger, more exotic lineup of bikes including big names like BMW, Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki.
