Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland posted on Thursday a 25 per cent growth in total sales in February at 9,800 units. While domestic sales for the commercial vehicle maker rose 27 per cent to 8,984 units in the year, exports saw a more modest 5 per cent rise at 816 units. Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle sales in the domestic market saw a 28 per cent jump to 8,954 units, even as light commercial vehicle sales dropped to 30 units from 107 units in the same month last year. Cumulative vehicle sales between April, 2010 and February, 2011 was up 52 per cent at 81,937 vehicles.
