It’s partly cloudy in Chandigarh for now, venue for the second IPL cricket match to be held in weather-prone northwest India but later towards the night.

Thunderstorms are expected to breed across many parts of northwest India thanks to the presence of a helpful western disturbance and cyclonic circulation.

But compared to the situation in Jaipur, the other venue, the situation is expected to be better in Chandigarh – breezy yet cool with minimal humidity.

Kings XI Punjab will take on Deccan Chargers in the game scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. It will continue to be partly cloudy during the day and into the night.

Chances of rain are nil for the present, but the eastward movement of the cyclonic circulation from northwest Rajasthan and the band of winds around it would need to be tracked closely to get a final picture on this.
