Footwear retailer Bata India has appointed Atul Singh and Akshay N. Chudasama as Additional Directors on the company’s board with effect from April 28, 2011.
“Atul Singh and Akshay N. Chudasama shall hold office up to the date of the forthcoming annual general meeting of the company, wherein they will seek the approval of the shareholders for their appointment,” the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The decision was taken by the company’s board at its meeting held on April 28, 2011.
Both Mr Singh and Mr Chudasama will be considered as independent directors on the company’s board, the filing added.
