CallHealth, a healthcare services aggregator and home healthcare provider, is scouting for a strategic partner as part of its expansion plans.
“We are looking to bring in a strategic partner with expertise ïn customer acquisition and education. Conversations with few players have been happening for the last few months and nothing has been finalised yet,’’ Hari Thalapalli, Chief Executive Officer, CallHealth, told BusinessLine here.
So far, the Hyderabad-based firm, promoted by Sandhya Raju, daughter-in-law of Satyam Computers founder B Ramalinga Raju, has raised about ₹230 crore ($35 million), sourced from the promoter’s family and friends.
“With the funds raised so far, we still have another 12-month runway,’’ Thalapalli said, adding that customer acquisition was an “expensive’’ affair. Callhealth, which tested its product during April-December 2016, is now receiving 2,000 calls per day mainly for diagnostics, drug delivery and nursing.
It also expects to see traction in doctor consultations during this month.
It has a three-dimensional system that integrates the physical, virtual and artificial intelligence platform which enables “seamless’’ access to medical and healthcare services, said Sameer Khan, Chief of Business.
The e-health platform being used by the company will also help to get big data and analytics, which will be useful in developing early warning signals in epidemics by digitally mapping the areas of service request and their nature, he added.
The firm plans to step it focus on advanced medical devices that can be carried by its field medical officers to help them provide a bigger range of home-health and remote medical care, besides health lounges.
“We are focussing on a hub and spoke mode of expansion with economies of scale which will take care of our break-even,’’ Thalapalli said.
As of now, its take 24 to 30 months for CallHealth to achieve break-even in each of the markets it operates individually.
At present, it operates in eight cities with a focus on Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, but has also lined up expansion to other major cities, including Delhi, over a period of time.
