AC maker Carrier Midea India has hiked prices of its products in the range of 3-5 per cent.
In a statement, Sanjay Mahajan, Vice-President Sales & Marketing, Carrier Midea India said, "The Industry has seen unprecedented depreciation in the Indian rupee vis-à-vis US dollar in the last couple of months. We have worked on internal efficiencies and have absorbed most of the cost till now. But given the impact of the situation, increase in price became inevitable and we had no option but to pass on some of the increased cost."
