FMCG company Godrej Consumer Products has reported an 11 per cent increase in net profit (without exceptional items) at Rs 150 crore in the fourth quarter. Net sales were up by 18 per cent at Rs 955 core.
Earnings before interest, taxes and amortisation (EBITA) were up by 14 per cent at Rs 186 crore. On a consolidated basis, net profit (without exceptional items) was up by 19 per cent at Rs 205 crore.
Consolidated net sales increased by 30 per cent at Rs 1,716 crore. The company has also declared a 200 per cent fourth interim dividend at Rs 2 per share.
In homecare, the household insecticide segment registered sales growth of 26 per cent, while soaps grew by 17 per cent.
There was a turnaround in the hair colours segment with sales growth at 27 per cent which was double the category growth.
