Infosys Ltd reported a 3.5 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 3,097 crore on 4.2 per cent increase in revenue to Rs 13,411 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015 as compared with a net profit of Rs 2,992 crore on revenue of Rs 12,875 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.
However, the company’s net profit for the fourth quarter declined by 4.7 per cent when compared with the sequential quarter.
“It was a rewarding year, but a disappointing quarter,” Vishal Sikka, CEO and Managing Director, Infosys, told analysts while discussing the financial results.
For the year ended March 31, 2015, the company reported a 16 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 12,329 crore on a 6 per cent increase in revenue to Rs 53,319 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015.
Revenue from BFSI, and retail and life sciences declined while it increased from manufacturing and energy, utilities, communication and services.
For the year 2015-16, the company expects revenue to grow by between 10-12 per cent in constant currency terms, and 6.2-8.2 per cent in Dollar terms, says a press release.
