Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) major KEC International Ltd (KEC) has won new orders worth Rs 1,565 crore under its transmission and distribution (T&D) and cables businesses.
Under its T&D businesses, the company secured orders worth Rs 1,458 crore in India, Bangladesh, Oman, Malaysia and the Americas, the company said in a statement.
KEC won orders worth Rs 107 crore for the supply of power and telecom cables under its cables business, it added.
“With these orders, our year-end order book has strengthened considerably especially in the T&D business. We believe this combined with our strong L1 (lowest) pipeline will help us deliver robust performance in the financial year 2015-16,” said Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International.
KEC shares were trading up 2.63 per cent or Rs 2.20 at Rs 85.95 on the NSE at 1.30 pm.
