Korean automotive major Kia Motors is likely to start manufacturing of its cars in India from its upcoming greenfield plant from September 2019. The Seoul-based company is the 6th largest producer of cars and SUVs in the world. It is entering India with a proposed investment outlay of $2 billion and with production capacity of 3 lakh vehicles per year from the world class manufacturing facility being set up in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.‬

‪Towards this vision, Crescendo Worldwide had organised KIA Motors Supplier Meet in Delhi on May 29, 2018, where 200+ Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies and supplier from various cities of India met KIA Motors India Team, according to a statement.

‪Twenty-five Korean Tier 1 suppliers of Kia Motors also participated. Indian companies also got an opportunity to see latest models of Kia Motors – to know more about parts, components and assemblies.‬
