Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s Farm Equipment Sector tractor sales rose 37 per cent to 25,922 units in September 2013 compared with 18,908 units in September 2012.
The company’s overall sales grew 33 per cent to 26,637 units during the month under review, while exports stood at 715 units, M&M said in a statement.
“On the back of a good monsoon, we are delighted with a 37 per cent growth in tractor sales despite the traditionally low-buying period in September. We see a healthy growth continuing over the next few months,” Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive, Tractor and Farm Mechanization, Mahindra & Mahindra, said.
