FMCG firm Marico today reported a 7.19 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit at ₹ 183.20 crore for the quarter ended March this year. The company had reported a net profit of ₹ 170.91 crore in the same quarter last year.
Marico’s consolidated total income during the March quarter stood at ₹ 1,502.97 crore, against ₹ 1,344.43 crore in the same quarter last year.
Its total expenses were at ₹ 1,256.20 crore, against ₹ 1,094.75 crore.
During the quarter, Marico’s domestic sales stood at ₹ 1,156.88 crore, compared with ₹ 1,035.24 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Its international business in the fourth quarter stood at ₹ 323.21 crore, against ₹ 286.91 crore.
For the year ended March 2018, Marico reported a consolidated net profit of ₹ 827.45 crore, compared with ₹ 810.97 crore in the year-ago period.
Its net sales for the year were at ₹ 6,417.72 crore, against ₹ 6,033.23 crore in 2016-17.
