Buoyed by the success of its new launches in the compact and SUV segments, luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz has announced that it sold 1,756 units during the April-June 2013 quarter. It clocked a growth of 32 per cent over the same period last year, making it one of its best ever quarterly growth figures in the last two years.
The success of the new A-Class, M-Class and GL-Class have contributed to this growth, while the E-Class and C-Class too posted a robust performance, the company said.
Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “Our fully refreshed product line-up, with new segment introductions has received an overwhelming response from customers. This has helped us achieve record results in Q2 2013 despite the overall challenging market conditions.”
The diesel B-Class is set for launch on July 11, he added.
