Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetable Ltd aims to achieve over 30 per cent growth in business to Rs 800 crore in 2013-14.

According to Subhashis Basu, business head, dairy products division of Mother Dairy, the growth will be supported by the company’s expanding footprint and launch of new products.

The company plans to scale up its share of business from the eastern region to Rs 100 crore from the current level of Rs 25 crore in the next three years.

“The per capita consumption of dairy products in the eastern region of the country is still low and this offers a huge untapped potential,” Basu said.

Mother Dairy, which is currently present only in the ice-cream segment in the eastern region, has launched fresh dairy products including mishti doi (sweet curd), lassi in bottles and frozen yoghurts in the region.
