Tyre manufacturer MRF’s net profit has jumped nearly 50 per cent for the second quarter ended March 31, 2015, compared with the corresponding quarter in the previous year. MRF Ltd, which follows an October-September fiscal, has reported a net profit of ₹ 332.62 crore (₹ 170.87 crore) on an income of ₹3,677.77 crore (₹ 3,660.68 crore) during the second quarter. On the BSE, the company’s shares gained three per cent to close at ₹40,077 over the previous close of ₹ 38,745.75.
