Natco Pharma Ltd’s consolidated net profit increased 20 per cent at Rs 32 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2014 compared to Rs 27 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
The Hyderabad-based company’s revenue grew 23 per cent at Rs 222 crore as against Rs 181 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a release issued here on Wednesday.
The board of directors of the company held today had also appointed P S R K Prasad, Executive Vice President (Corporate Engineering Services) as an additional director who would be in the wholetime employment. S V V N Appa Rao, Vice President (Finance & Accounts) was also appointed as interim chief financial officer. P Bhaskara Narayana, CFO of company passed away last month.
Natco Pharma’s scrip gained 3.29 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday to end at Rs 1,446.40.
