Hospitality chain Oberoi group has entered into a management contract with Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company (SAQ) for two new luxury properties at Doha.

While one would be a 250-key luxury hotel being developed in the West Bay area of Doha, the other will be a 148-key luxury serviced apartment building located at Lusail in Doha, the company said in a statement.

Oberoi group Executive Chairman PRS Oberoi said, “We are extremely pleased to have been selected by the Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company (SAQ) to assist them in the design and management of these two projects and we look forward to bringing Oberoi hospitality to the Qatar market.”

The group is in the process of constructing ‘The Oberoi Al Zorah’ in the UAE and expects to open the hotel in the second quarter of 2016.
