Samsung India said that it has launched its first Ultra High Definition (UHD) TV, Samsung 85S9 which is priced at Rs 27 lakh. The company said that UHD TV’s larger screen is part of its effort to meet consumer demand for larger screen TVs, which is the fastest growing TV segment in the region.
Atul Jain, Senior Vice-President, Samsung India, said in a statement, “The Timeless Gallery Design of the Samsung UHD TV meets the need of premium customers for Innovative design coupled with Best in Class performance. The UHD TV offers a resolution that is four-times better than that of full HD TVs, and UHD screens offer enhanced clarity with rich colours.”
