The National Company Law Tribunal Chandigarh has directed Guild Builders — the holding company of Omaxe — to allow former Omaxe MD Sunil Goel to inspect the records/registers of the company during business hours and take extract copies of documents as per Section 171 of the Companies Act.
Earlier, NCLT had issued a notice to Omaxe Group Chairman Rohtas Goel over alleged financial mismanagement in the company on the basis of a complaint filed by his younger brother Sunil. On September 19, Sunil, who has 20 per cent share (second largest) in the firm, approached the NCLT, seeking his reinstatement as director of the company and status quo on the firm’s shareholdings. The NCLT Bench will next hear the case on December 21.
