The 2x800 MW Telangana Super Thermal Power Project coming up at Ramagundam is set for trial runs of boiler and turbine auxiliary systems with the existing 400KV switchyard of NTPC being connected.
Three 400KV bays have been erected and commissioned in the existing NTPC-Ramagundam switchyard area besides laying a 400KV double circuit line from there to the Telangana Project GIS Switchyard.
The equipment and power connectivity for the project was commissioned on June 24, said the company. Raj Kumar, Executive Director, Ramagundam and Telangana NTPC, along with other senior officials, were present at the commissioning of the connectivity.
According to a statement, the 400KV GIS switchyard of the Telangana power project is ‘special’ and is among four such switchyards of NTPC.
