Mr Lalitkumar Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, Kumar Urban Development Ltd, based in Pune, has been elected the President of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (Credai), according to a press release from Credai. Mr Jain was formerly the Vice-President, Credai (West).

Credai will focus on enhancing transparency in real estate deals, he said in the press release. The developer community as such has been facing several problems relating to transparency in transactions. Credai has planned to tackle this problem head-on and ensure customer delight in transactions.

Kumar Urban Development, formerly Kumar Builders, has handled over 100 projects and 14,000 tenements. Apart from residential complexes, it has developed IT Buildings, Retail Malls, IT Park and gated communities. KUL has so far developed 70 million sq ft with 9 million sq ft of city centre projects, with focus on Pune and Mumbai.

Sanghvi's affordable destination

The Sanghvi Group has focussed on the extended suburb of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) Kalyan, Shahapur, Vasind and Asangaon as an affordable residential destination, according to a press release from Sanghvi.

It has launched Sanghvi Paradise, positioned as the first affordable mega township at Asangaon. The 9-acre project would have over 700 units of 1- and 2-BHK residential units priced within a range of Rs 9.27 lakh- Rs16 lakh.

The release quoting Mr Shailesh Sanghvi, Director, Sanghvi Group and Secretary, MCHI Mira-Virar City unit, said that along the lines of the Mira-Road developments in 1990s which are now preferred residential destinations, the Sanghvi group is confident that the Kalyan-Asangaon belt will be the next preferred housing destination.

It believes that the extended Central suburbs namely Kalyan -Asangaon have a huge potential for affordable housing and has earmarked over 100 acres of land across Kalyan, Shahapur, Vasind and Asangaon.

The mega-township consists of 36 buildings of three and four storied each . Sanghvi Paradise is conveniently located about 10 minutes away from Asangaon station and 30 minutes from Kalyan Station.

Kone — lift for Delhi Metro

Kone,Finnish elevator company, has supplied 40 high-end elevators on the newly opened Delhi Airport Express line, according to a press release from Kone.

The Delhi Metro's Airport Express is the country's first corridor from the New Delhi Metro station to Dwaraka Sector 21 linking the Indira Gandhi International Airport. It will ensure a hassle-free ride for passengers to the airport and smooth People Flow for the passengers when inside the airport.

Kone Elevator India Pvt Ltd has been associated with all of Delhi Metro projects. The 40 elevators include 20 full glass enclosure cars and 20 stainless steel car body. These will cater to six stations of the metro line and are made to suit customer specific requirements.

The release quoting Mr Neeraj Sharma, Managing Director, Kone Elevator India, said “We have a good understanding of the end-user requirements in the public transport segment and hence are able to provide the right kind of solutions. The Airport Express would be heavily used both by international and domestic passengers and by default we had to provide the best. The deadlines on the project were very stringent but with our professional expertise were able to match the customer expectations”.
