Delight e-toilet developed by Eram Scientific Solutions based in Technopark has bagged two national awards.
These are the CSI-Nihilant award 2011 given out by the Computer Society of India and the Manthan Grand Jury Special reference award by the Digital Empowerment Foundation, which operates in association with the IT Department, Government of India.
An award for products manufacturing, Nihilant is the oldest and coveted technology award in the country, a company spokesman said.
Delight e-toilet was selected ahead of 15 offerings from various fields, including those from Reliance, L&T, Vodafone, SAIL, TATA and Union Bank.
Mr M. S. Vinod, Director, Eram Scientific Solutions, received the award at a function conducted in Ahmadabad, which was attended by representatives from the Government of India, State departments and delegates from B-schools.
The Manthan Award is given for innovative startups in the field of Information, communication and Technology (ICT) in South Asia.
Delight e-toilet has been selected for this award for a novel product offering which has pioneered a new course in health and sanitation field making use of science and technology. Ms Bincy Baby, Head of Convergence Business, Eram, received the award.
