PARADIGM SHIFT

It was organised by the regional office of Nabard in association with the Kerala Veterinary Animal Sciences University (KVASU).

Guided by Dr K. V. Ashok, Vice-Chancellor, KVASU, the workshop was attended by the directors of the departments of the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Departments, representatives from the State-Level banker's Committee (SLBC), bankers and representatives from the progressive farming community.

‘SINGLE WINDOW'

During the group discussions, participants suggested that a ‘single window approach' may be adopted for helping the aspiring entrepreneurs to fulfil the various requirements while setting up a new venture.

They also stressed on the need for active media participation in giving wide publicity for the schemes available in the animal husbandry sector for the benefit of the stakeholders.

They also proposed that Nabard and KVASU develop training modules in line with the requirements of the various players in the sector and also facilitate technology transfer, research and development activities in the sector.
