Majority of pulses and pulse seeds ruled sluggish on slack buying and subdued demand barring masur. Strong buying support and weak arrival lifted masur (bold) in Indore mandis to ₹5,350-Rs 5,400 a quintal, while masur (medium) ruled at ₹4,600-Rs 4,800. Compared to last week masur is ruling ₹100-₹150 higher. In the past two weeks, masur has almost gained ₹300-₹350 a quintal. Uptrend in masur has been attributed to higher import as domestic stock in masur almost has come to a naught. Rise in masur also lifted its dal in the past one week by ₹100 a quintal with masur dal (average) on Friday was being quoted at ₹6,150-Rs 6.200 a quintal, masur dal (bold) at ₹6,350-Rs 6,400, while masur dal (bold) ruled at ₹6,500 a quintal.
