The Soyabean Processors Association of India (SOPA) is organising International Soy Conclave on October 7 and 8 at the Brilliant Convention Centre.
The theme of the conclave is “Creating Sustainable Soy Business”.
According to SOPA Chairman Davish Jain, the event will be attended by a number of senior officials, both from Central and State governments and other policymaking bodies.
Over 500 delegates from India and abroad are expected to participate in the conclave.
Giving details about the event, Jain said that on the first day of conclave, a brainstorming session will be organised on the pros and cons of adopting GM soyabean in India and whether it will result in higher productivity increase productivity in India.
Parshottam Rupala, Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, Jayant Malaiya, Finance Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Surendra Patwa, Minister of State for Farmers Welfare & Tourism, Government of Madhya Pradesh, will be among the prominent dignitaries to take part in the conclave.
The SOPA Chairman said talking to this newspaper informed that the main objective of the conclave is to look at the crop numbers, supply and demand situation, global oilseed scenario, price outlook, etc and chart out the future course of action for the trade and industry.
The conclave would also provide an excellent opportunity for networking and developing business relations with the participants from all over the world, he added.
