The 22nd edition of Globoil India 2018, an international conference on vegetable oil, feed, feed ingredients, oilseeds and oleo chemicals, will be organised in Mumbai from September 26-28.

One of the world’s largest congregations of the edible oil trade and allied industries, Globoil India will see over 1000 delegates from across the world and about 100 exhibitors participate.

Darmin Nasution, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Government of Indonesia, will be the guest of honour for the event along with other dignitaries such as Musdhalifah Machmud, Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Government of Indonesia, and Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs, Government of India, among others.

A note shared by the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA) stated that India’s vegetable oil imports have touched 11,19,538 tonnes in July 2018 as compared to 15,24,724 tonnes in same month last year, a decline of 27 per cent.

During the deliberations at Globoil India, being organised by Tefla, issues concerning India’s edible oil sector will be discussed.
