Edible oils witnessed a firm trend on Wednesday tracking strong futures, weak rupee amid peak festival demand. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, barring cotton oil which ruled steady, all other edible oils gained ₹2-5 per 10 kg each. Groundnut oil shot up by ₹20 to touch ₹950. During the day, stockists bought about 3,300 tonnes of palmolein at ₹685-688. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was at ₹1,450 (1,430) and loose (10 kg) increased to ₹905 (900).
