The Coimbatore-based Rs.4,000 crore turn over Suguna Poultry Farm Ltd, one of the major players in the fragmented poultry industry in the country, launched on Wednesday a cold storage facility at Tiruchi.
The Cold storage facility has been built on a 450 sq.ft area, with a capacity to store 25 tonnes of meat at any point in time at Vijayalaxmi Nagar, Nagamangalam, Tiruchi.
The facility would stock Suguna’s frozen food brands Suguna Anytime - whole chicken and choicest of chicken portions and Suguna Home Bites, the range of ready-to-eat quick bites.
According to Dr Ravindran, Director – Sales and Marketing, it has been the endeavor to reach out to the eastern region of Tamil Nadu and with the new facility, would be able to deliver the Suguna experience to a wider populace. Wamika Fresh Foods would receive the chicken products directly from Suguna’s processing plants in Udumalpet and there-on distribute the products to distributors located at Tiruchi, Tanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapatinam and Pudukottai districts.
