Weak physical demand and global cues dragged soya oil prices with soya refined being quoted at ₹762-65 for 10 kg, while soy solvent declined to ₹730-35. Weak demand from the crushers also dragged soyabean prices in the physical market to ₹3,750 a quintal, while plant deliveries ruled at ₹3,800. According to Sanjay Agrawal, a local trader, monsoon holds the key to soyabean prices in the coming days. In case of timely monsoon, any rally appears unlikely, he added. Soyameal on the spot was at ₹34,500 on weak domestic demand.
