India is set to become a hub for artificial intelligence with the Centre planning to set up a national programme for the development of AI. Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said that India will become a hub for AI. He said that the development of AI for some sectors will be taken up.
"Great to see govt’s continued support for new technologies like #AI with the announcement of #NationalCentre n #portal for #AI . Much needed! Equally imp is the commitment to re-skill India's youth for the new jobs that AI will create," Debjani Ghosh, President, Nasscom tweeted.
The Centre is also envisaging creating 1 lakh digital village.
