The Karnataka Government successfully garnered substantial investments at the ongoing Vibrant Gujarat Summit.
The delegation, led by RV Deshpande, Karnataka Minister for Higher Education and Tourism, has got Expression of Interest (EoI) worth ₹50,100 crore at the summit.
The State set up a pavilion at the summit, highlighting the benefits it offers and managed to get investments in IT, education, tourism, infrastructure, solar energy and aerospace. “The State delegation interacted with a large number of companies and delegations to attract investments into the State and were successful in getting a break,” K Ratna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary, Karnataka Commerce and Industry department told BusinessLine .
According to him, prominent meetings included the India China Council for Economic Cooperation, the Singapore Business Federation and the delegation from Israel. A team headed by Gaurav Gupta, Karnataka Commissioner for Industrial Development, also held successful B2B meetings with potential investors from across the globe.
