South Western Railway (SWR) is to run daily passenger specials between Mysore and Nanjangud Town (Train Nos 06215/06216). Accordingly, Train No. 06215 will leave Mysore at 4.10 pm and arrive at Nanjangud Town at 5.05 pm on the same day. In the return direction, Train No. 06216 will leave Nanjangud Town at 5.30 pm and arrive in Mysore at 6.20 pm, on the same day.
Veerendra Heggade to get Sir MV award
FKCCI is to observe its Founders Day on September 15 to coincide with the birthday of its founder Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. On this occasion, the Sir M. Visvesvaraya Memorial Award will be conferred on Padmabhushan Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari, Sree Kshetra, Dharmastala. Dr V. S. Acharya, Minister for Higher Education, Planning and Statistics, Karnataka Government, will deliver the Memorial Lecture. The award ceremony will be held on September 15 at 5 pm in the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha, Bangalore.
‘Ray-Ban Never Hide Sounds' today
The Bangalore-round of ‘Ray-Ban Never Hide Sounds' will be held on September 10 at Garuda Mall, from 9.30 am to 11 pm. The event is the first ever nationwide rock band hunt that is targeted at young musicians who have never had the opportunity to perform in public before.
