The third-party logistics service provider Damco recently handled transportation of a single piece compressor of 52 tonnes from Jindal Steel & Power Ltd's plant in Orissa to Berlin via Kolkata airport, according to a company release.
The task involved multimodal operation as the consignment was first transported by road in a huge multi-axle hydraulic trailer and then airlifted by Antonov 124, the release adds.
