Air India will offer convenient domestic connections to Delhi from cities like Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad to help passengers take its non-stop flight to San Francisco starting December 2.
For instance, passengers from Chennai can take the Air India flight (043) at 2105 hrs to reach Delhi at 2345 hrs and board the flight (174) to San Francisco at 0235 hrs. Similarly, in the return direction, the flight from San Francisco arrives at 1615 hrs in Delhi to enable a passenger take the Chennai-bound flight (042) at 2000 hrs, said Rajneesh Bagga, Deputy General Manager (Commercial), Air India.
Passengers from other cities can have a direct check-in of baggage to the final destination in the US and undergo all Customs and immigration formalities at the place of origin, he said while introducing the new service. The non-stop Delhi-San Francisco service will be three flights a week — Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
